The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continues the tradition of the School of Veterinary Medicine in Lvov (1881-1939). Officially, its activities started on 1 November, 1945, when it was the largest Faculty of the University and Polytechnic in Polish Wrocław after II World War.
At present, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine consists of 9 departments and employs 98 academic teachers, including 29 professors and doctors with habilitation (a post-doctoral degree). In academic year 2003/04 – 1047 students were enrolled.
The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is authorised to confer university degrees – Doctor of Veterinary Science and Doctor Habilitatus of Veterinary Science.
